Things to Know About Two Services

_MG_0175

If you’ve been attending during our Sermon on the Mount series, you’ve probably heard that we are transitioning to two services at 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. To prepare for this transition, we have added rows of seating in the sanctuary and additional classroom space in Providence Kids. In addition, we will be starting construction this spring to expand our current building as a result of your generosity during the Advance initiative.

Our hope is to make this transition as smooth as possible for families coming to worship with us on Sunday. Here are a couple things to keep in mind:

Please arrive early to worship.

Moving to two services means that you will see many new faces. Arriving early makes it easier for you to find a seat, check in your children, meet some new people, and make space for guests attending for the first time. Try to sit towards the middle of your aisle so people who arrive after you can easily find a seat.

Some class times and locations have changed.

You will check in your children for Providence Kids at the same location as always – the check-in kiosks at the front of the main hallway to Providence Kids. If you have a preschooler (2-5 years old), their classrooms are now located in the portable buildings, which are accessible through the main hallway of Providence Kids. Check-in opens 30 minutes prior to each service but the process is still the same. We’ll also have maps available so you can find your kids’ new classrooms. (Note: the kindergarten classroom is still located in the main Providence Kids hallway.) If you have a 5th or 6th grader, their class is now during the 11 a.m. service in the conference room.

If you have any questions about these updates in Providence Kids, please contact Jeremy Herron at jeremy@providencefrisco.com.

We’re looking forward to seeing all God has in store for us in 2017. Moving to two services is a huge opportunity for us to build relationships and reduce the toll on volunteers, but it doesn’t reduce the number of volunteers we need to pull off each Sunday. If you’re considering serving, now’s a great time to sign up!
