October 31, 1517. Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the door of the Castle Church in Wittenburg, Germany. This single act began a revolution that changed the Church and the world.
On October 31, 2017, churches around the world will mark the 500th anniversary the beginning of the Protestant Reformation. While you may have heard of the Reformation, you may not know why Luther wrote the Theses and how it affected the world.
If you've ever asked what the Protestants were protesting, how the Reformation affected the lives of ordinary people, or whether the Reformation still matters today, our Gospel & Culture: The Reformation is for you. Join us from 5-6:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, as we learn about the way the Reformation continues to impact our lives and our faith from Dr. J. Ligon Duncan, Chancellor of Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS.
Dr. J. Ligon Duncan (@LigonDuncan), is Chancellor and CEO of Reformed Theological Seminary (@ReformTheoSem), which has campuses in Jackson, MS; Dallas and Houston, TX; and five other cities across the United States.
Childcare is provided for children through age five.
