We're so glad you're interested in learning more about Providence Church!
Welcome to our website. We hope you'll find answers for all your questions, but if not, we'd love to hear from you. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your questions.
Who are you?
Providence Church is a diverse congregation that seeks to be united in the gospel. We believe that the gospel is the only message of hope in a broken world, so everything that we do points to the gospel, from our Sunday gatherings to Community Groups to our ministries to kids (Providence Kids and Providence Students). We're affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention and 9Marks. You can find out more about our vision, our leaders, our story, and what we believe.
What are your Sunday gatherings like?
The Word of God (the Bible) is essential to everything we do. We have two identical services at 9:15 and 11 a.m.
In our Sunday gatherings, we spend time singing, praying, and looking at Scripture. We preach expositionally (meaning that we go through entire books of the Bible in small chunks to understand what all of the Bible teaches; check out some of our recent series here: Genesis, 1 Corinthians, Joseph, Romans).
We offer classes in Providence Kids for children from birth through 5th grade. In their classes, kids learn how all of the Bible points to Jesus through singing, teaching, and hands-on crafts to help them remember what they've learned. Each week, we send resources home with parents to help as they continue teaching their children.
During the 11 a.m. service, we offer a special class for children in 5th and 6th grades to help kids bridge the gap between elementary school and middle school.
How can I get involved?
The best way to get involved at Providence is to join a Community Group. Our Community Groups are multigenerational and distributed throughout Collin and parts of Denton Counties. We host Community Group Launch once a quarter to help people connect with Community Groups nearby.
Another great step is to attend our membership class. Attending membership class doesn't require you to become a member of Providence, but it's a great way to meet our elders, make new friends, and hear about our mission and values.
How can I stay up-to-date on what's happening at Providence?
We send regular emails (typically once a week) with information about what's coming up at Providence as well as helpful resources. We'd love for you to join our email list. We don't give away our email list so your information is kept private.
