The women's ministry of Providence Church aims to engage women with the gospel, grow them in community, and empower them to live on mission.
We will meet in homes all over the area, discussing books on various topics such as motherhood, the attributes of God, biblical friendship, and more. They are one-time book clubs and there's a different club almost every week this summer! Click on the register button above to see all the different book clubs.
Stay tuned for recordings of the main session and breakout teachings from the summer Women's Workshop. Breakouts included:
Loving God with your Mind: Delighting in His Word
The heart cannot love what the mind does not know. Why we study the Bible, how to study the Bible and practical tips to fellowship with the Lord throughout the day (Psalm 37:4; Matthew 22:34-40).
Loving God and His Promises: Seeing Christ in the Old Testament
The gospel didn't begin in the New Testament. God has been speaking it from the very beginning. Join us as we walk through three amazing Old Testament stories and see how they all point to Christ.
The Gospel and the Home: Loving Your Family Well
We all want love, joy, peace, patience and so much more to rule our nests. How do we identify and cultivate this fruit in marriage, parenting and roles in the family? Join us as we take the components of the gospel and translate them to life in the home. We’ll learn, laugh and maybe even cry together as we are equipped and encouraged with God’s word to walk in the truth of the gospel.
The Gospel and Friendships: Loving Other Women Well
In the final night before his crucifixion, Jesus gave his disciples this commandment: “love one another; just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34) The love we have for one another is the mark of a disciple. But what does this love look like? We’ll look at several of the New Testament’s “one anothers” for practical guidance on how this distinctive love is shown in our friendships with other women.
About Providence Women's Ministry
We minister to the women of Providence Church by having an annual conference, two to three women's Bible studies each year, and occasional fellowship events.
Our women's ministry acts as a supplement to our Sunday services and Community Groups. We'd love to help you get involved in a Community Group as you become a part of Providence's women's ministry.
